The seaside towns of Mallorca have a definite charm and appeal to them. This particular town, Portocolom, is too pretty to not post pictures of it.
This small town of 3,000 residents seems like it’s a world away from the tourist-centered Alcúdia. It’s the sort of town that Maeve Binchy would use as a backdrop for one of her best-selling romance novels. The quaint, neighborly vibe exists here, and the rocky cliffs inspire images of women waiting, with their skirts billowing behind them, for their men to return home from lengthy adventures at sea.
Imagine Mayberry in the United States; its Mallorcan equivalent would be Portocolom.
