Historic Railroad Tunnel Hike
Just outside of Las Vegas by about a half hour is a great, moderate hike. While I was visiting Katie and Paul, this was a spot that I hiked several times. The sky is a piercing blue, the landscape serene, and the air fresh.
The historical significance of a place is one of the biggest reasons why I return to a hiking location. This one is particularly interesting because the hike was once a railroad route that hauled supplies in during the construction of Hoover Dam.
When I went on this hike, the weather, vegetation, and overall experience could not have been better. It was such a treat to take a break out of the normal routine and take a walk through history.
Here’s more information about the Historic Railroad Tunnel Hike. Enjoy!
