Fun Times in New York City
My vacation to New York City has come and gone. What a whirlwind of a trip!
Pete and I enjoyed the things that we knew we would do, like seeing Wicked and watching the Army/Rutgers game at Yankee Stadium. Attending a Broadway musical seems like such a quintessential thing to do in the city, and we really enjoyed it! We walked around the city, meandered through Central Park, and mostly reveled in spending such quality, uninterrupted time together.
Part of the fun in visiting a new city is exploring side streets and ducking into little restaurants or bars. Pete and I both prefer small, quaint places to eat over large, chain restaurants. A NYC blogger (from Travel Designery) highly recommended a divine French restaurant on the Upper East Side called Jojo, which was fantastic. The low light, flickering candles, and tasty wine created such a lovely ambiance, which for me is such a large contributor to a good meal. It was the perfect way to spend our last night in the city.
