A Walk Along the Beach
“In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.”
On the coast, near one of my favorite spots, I found a beach that I’ve been longing to visit for nearly a year. This particular stretch of sand is visible from the cliff along the Cape Lookout hiking area, and is mostly visited by ATV or motorbike thrill-seekers since it’s part of the Sand Lake Recreational Area.
This beach has certain qualities that I love to find in a coastal getaway: pristine sand, a secluded location, and stunning vistas. There are several spots along this stretch of the Oregon Coast that are quite popular; the beach adjacent to the Cape Lookout Campground is usually pretty busy, and it’s just around the bend from this recreational area. The ATVs mostly stay to the cliffs above the beach, so you don’t need to worry about them invading your peace and quiet.
There’s something really refreshing about having nothing but time on your hands, the sun on your face, and a snack in your backpack when experiencing such perfect moments. These moments rejuvenate your spirit and help feed your soul.
